Day 4 – I was melting

It rained for the first time since I’ve been back in Sydney. Rain days always make me super lazy so I skipped yoga today but it’s okay, I’ll just do an extra long flow tomorrow. Plus I was in a writing mood as soon as I got up which I thought was kind of cute. Just praying its really warm and sunny the day I get released…

Since I had done most of the important things I had to get done and it was raining, I thought today should be a relaxation day. And for my strange Monica Geller like persona, this meant unpacking all of my suitcases (more than you’re probably guessing) of 13-months worth of belongings and repacking them again (ugh so satisfying). Since all my bags were packed to the rim coming here (she was 50kg over baggage allowance but that’s another story), I asked my sister to drop a large empty suitcase so I could repack everything this time with ease. I know, I sound insane… but I’m convinced I can’t be the only one… I just haven’t met someone else with crazy organisation skills like me… yet… anyway…

Since there was a mission to be done, I wanted to put on something cool to watch in the background and since I was multi-tasking, I don’t feel guilty binge watching. So I FINALLY started Peaky Blinders – and was hooked from the get-go. I think it was all the different accents! I found myself repeating a lot of lines (you’re welcome Twitch viewers) trying to nail those 1920’s UK Accents which were super difficult but still fun to attempt. Or maybe it was because the actress that plays Narcissa Malfoy was one of the main characters!! I should learn her name – it’s Helen McCrory.

Lunch was a falafel wrap (YUM), a salad with seeds and rice cakes with peanut butter. And the other half of yesterdays soft pretzel, mmmm. Thanks past Shakira (“boop”).

After two and a half hours of unpacking, organising and repacking (yikes), it was time to have A BATH! I had a shower (yeah I refuse to sit in my own filth), washed my hair, gave myself a facial, lit the candles, grabbed fairy lights, made some tea and added the bath bomb and salts. Gosh that was some effort but dannnng. It was worth it. I felt like I was melting. That is honestly the only way I could describe it. My skin was so soft from bombs and salts in the tub, I just couldnt stop caressing myself! Does anyone else do that?

I did grab my book but I was really getting into Peaky B’s… Then the knock for dinner came but there was no way I was leaving heaven while it was still warm in here and the healing powers were still active. So I may or may not have done a quick little naked snatch of my dinner box and ran back to the tub. HEY, there is no one outside except the guard but he’s way over there down the hall and the chance of the people across from me opening their door at the same time as me was slim to none. That’s only happened once… maybe twice… I’m sure they’d understand anyway!

So yes, I moved everything off the book stand, turned on the lights and ate dinner in the tub while still watching PB. And I have now finished the entire first season in one day. GG. Dinner was veggie green curry with black rice, a mushroom salad and of course when I’m having a spa moment, they serve strawberries, blueberries and grapes (so happy).

And I discovered that once again, my Twitch stream keeps disconnecting (I assume from the hotel WIFI) so thats a bust. I will try one more time, if not then it isn’t meant to be and I guess I can do my other experiments in confinement a little more effectively, so it’s not a total loss. If only it just kept running and I could have got that Guiness World Record for longest live-stream. I mean, when will I ever do something as random and impossible as this again? Hmm actually now that I think about it, it’s probably not that unlikely..

Well here’s to day four, done and dusted, Brummie accents and about 94-hours worth of random footage of myself cleaning, doing yoga, singing, dancing, writing, eating, and laughing at my own weird thoughts, floating somewhere in the clouds! I wonder if that will ever come back to bite me in the butt…
