In our world, we perform experiments on rats for scientific research. These rat’s are born and bred, kept in a lab to be worked on for discovery and possibly progression of human evolution.
Sure when you picture it as it is described, it sounds quite cruel and sad.
Now picture this…
Probably as a sketch of some type. Preferably animated.
In this cartoon world, we can understand the rats and the conversations they have with each other. In this sketch, the rat’s actually know exactly why they’re in a lab and furthermore, they actually live their life in pursuit of their experimentation. They are born and live their lives knowing and hoping that one day a scientist chooses them to be examined. They grow up with aspirations to be the rat that helps with the next amazing discovery and fulfil their purpose as a rat to aid the humans.
Bred in captivity, they, like you would imagine teenagers in school, focus on different career paths. Biology, neurology, cosmetic, etc. There would be some sort of dialogue between the young rats as to which experimental department they will be going to. About how their partnered scientist is on the brink of a new discovery and they will soon fulfil their sole purpose in life.
Weird thing to imagine but just a funny perspective I thought of one night when I couldn’t fall asleep. A funny, less cruel point of view.
